Understanding Our Site License Agreement

Our site license offers a flexible and cost-effective solution for organisations that need broad access to our PRO Edition license for DOTE and DOTEbase. You choose exactly how many application seats you need and for how many years — and receive a single license key that covers your entire organisation.

How It Works

When you purchase a site license, you select the number of application seats (minimum 4) and the duration (1–10 years). A single application seat allows one instance of either DOTE or DOTEbase to be licensed at a time. Two seats would be required to run both applications simultaneously. - For example, if you purchase 10 seats, up to 10 users could use DOTE simultaneously, or alternatively, 5 users could use both DOTE and DOTEbase together (NOTE: DOTEbase requires the use of DOTE to create and edit Transcripts).

A single license key is issued for your organisation or lab for the provided email address. Then anyone within the organisation can activate the software using this key, up to the purchased seat limit. The license expires after the chosen number of years. Once an application has been activated with the license key, an internet connection is not strictly required thereafter (though it is still useful to be notified of software updates).

Pricing

The total price is calculated as:

Number of application seats × Number of years × price per seat per year

What You Get

Payment Options

Site licenses can be paid by credit card or electronic invoice:

  • Credit card: Payment is processed immediately and your license key is sent as soon as the payment is confirmed.
  • Electronic invoice: An invoice is issued to your organisation. Because this is a manual process, we will only process invoices for orders with a minumum of 40 seat-years (e.g. 40 seats × 1 year, or 20 seats × 2 years, etc.). Also please expect some delay — your license key will be sent after the invoice is paid and confirmed by our staff.

Note that it is possible to get a VAT reduction for a site license if electronic invoice is selected and the required information is given.
